AIRBORNE PRODUCTS

SMFD (Smart Multi Functional Display)

MIHU consists of Connector Block (CB), Module & Signal Interface card (MSIC) and Mechanical Housing (MH). We design, fabricate, assemble, and integrate the CB, MSIC & MH in compliance with MIL-STD-810F for environmental and MIL-STD-461E for EMI/EMC requirements and suitable for use in mission critical airborne application.

We created a suitable mechanical chassis designed to house a set of electronic modules that will control a display module that gets attached to this housing. Inside the mechanical housing will be a set of suitably designed PCBs that will enable electrical connectivity of the external world to the electronic modules housed inside as well as the display-module attached on the outside.

Fly by wire data Acquisition Unit

Fly-by-wire (FBW) is an airborne system that replaces the conventional manual flight controls of an aircraft with an electronic interface. The movements of flight controls are converted to electronic signals and transmitted by wires. The flight control computers determine the movement of the actuators at each control surface to provide the ordered response. Fly by wire data Acquisition Unit is a compact Data Acquisition LRU of Avionics standard for accessing information like Discrete and Analog data from Aircraft and communicates to other control units and storage unit in the aircraft. FBW-DAU is the first Airborne LRU indigenized in Sukhoi-30MKI Fighter Aircraft used by Indian Air Force

CPIDU (Collective pitch Indication Display Unit)

The Design and Development of CPI-DU is taken up by M/s ComAvia, Bangalore based on the requirements from Helicopter division, HAL, Bangalore for Cheetah, Chetak and Cheetal helicopters. CPI-DU is an AMLCD indicator which takes Collective Pitch information in the form of analog and displays in the form of analog dial and numeric digital value. AMLCD CPI-DU is a cockpit mounted LRU.

The Collective Pitch Indication Display Unit (CPI-DU) shall display the helicopter parameters such as pitch angle of the blades, Density Altitude, Pressure Altitude, OAT, maximum permissible collective pitch for hovering, maximum Hovering take-off weight, required Collective pitch to hover for specified gross weight.

CPI DU shall display the collective pitch indication from the redundancy module of the unit on a separate display as standby which shall be part of the CPI DU.

The CPI-DU unit is developed to support two types of helicopters

1. CHEETAH / CHEETAL series of helicopters (Type 1), and
2. CHETAK series helicopters (Type 2).
